Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, Vice Chancellor, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State, and members of staff has congratulated Prince Bankole Adeyefa, a staff of the institution on his selection as Elemure-elect of Emure Ile, in Owo Local Government Area of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adeyefa until his selection, was the Chief Procurement Officer and acting Head of the Procurement Unit of OAUSTECH’.
Adeyefa, who was the direct son of the immediate past traditional ruler, late Oba Simeon Adedubaje-Adeyefa, emerged the elemure-elect after he polled four out of five votes cast by the town’s kingmakers.
Ologunorisa’ in an interview with NAN on Tuesday in Okitipupa, said he was indeed happy and filled with joy, saying that the selection process for Adeyefa’s emergence as new elemure-elect is a plus for OAUSTECH.
Ologunorisa, a Professor of Climate Science, described Adeyefa as a dedicated staff, who was always ready to work, a lover of everyone, a grassroots mobiliser, who has a good leadership style.
According to him, the new elemure-elect is focused with high social skills, he is a problem solver, a grassroots mobiliser and a dedicated staff of this institution.
“I am confident that his reign will bring peace and prosperity to his kingdom.
“I am indeed happy and filled with great joy because this is a plus for OAUSTECH under my tutelage.
“I congratulate him and wish him success in piloting the affairs of Emure Ile domain,” Ologunorisa said.
Mr Paul Adeagbo, OAUSTECH’s Deputy Director, Information, Protocol and Public Relations, who also congratulated the new elemure-elect, said he has a tenacity of purpose and unwavering commitment to achieve anything he set to.
He added that those qualities would make the him to transform his domain quickly.
Mr Fredrick Fasonranti, OAUSTEH’s Chief Internal Auditor, stated that the new elemure-elect is educated and well connected to foster unity and progress in his domain.
Mr Kinle Akinwonmi, the Chairman, Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and Allied Institutions (NASU), lauded the selection of a member of the union, stating that attaining such heights during his tenure is a notable development for the union.
Another OAUSTECH member of staff, Mr Bankole Adesayo, who was also a close associate of the Adeyefa, said he was not surprised by the outcome of the selection process.
He said that Adeyefa has what it takes to lead his people and bring about rapid development of the domain.
NAN also reports that the elemure-elect attended Our Saviour Anglican Primary School, Emure-Ile, Owo, Ipenmen Community Grammar School Ipenmen; Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ladoke Akinola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State; Achievers University, Owo, Ondo state and Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo state.
The elemure-elect holds a Masters Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain; Bachelor of Science (Business Administration); Post Graduate Diploma (Financial Management), he had worked at different public institutions before becoming the senior procurement officer at OAUSTECH. (NAN)
