Mystery, suspicion surround the tragic death of police officer in Ondo

Confusion and tension have surrounded the Ondo State Police Command following the mysterious and tragic death of a police inspector, Yusuf Suleiman Blessing, popularly known as BS Omo Alahaja.

As reported by Sunshinetruth, the 50-year-old officer, who was serving at the Akotogbo Division in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State, was found dead under shocking and unclear circumstances.

The officer, a native of Ikoro-Ekiti in Ekiti State was reportedly burned beyond recognition, with no clear explanation of how the incident occurred.

His wife became curious after she was unable to reach him for 24 hour as she later received a call from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), who informed her that her husband had drowned.

However, when his colleagues brought his remains to Osi community, suspicions arose.

Eyewitnesses recounted that the body arrived in a sealed coffin.

When family members and sympathizers demanded to see his remains, the three officers who delivered the casket allegedly fled, abandoning the coffin and their vehicle in front of his family home.

To their horror, when the coffin was finally opened, the inspector’s body was discovered severely burnt, with a cracked skull completely contradicting the initial claim that he had drowned.

The disturbing revelation has fueled speculations of foul play.

Reacting to the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, stated that investigations were underway, promising that further details would be provided in due course.
