Barr. Banji Okunomo, All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ondo State, has commended Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa led administration for approving and implementing the execution of 50 township projects in various parts of the state.
It would be recalled that Aiyedatiwa on Dec. 30, 2024 approved the completion of 50 township road projects across the 18 Local Government Areas (LGA’) of the state.
Okunomo while speaking with journalists on Saturday in Okitipupa, observed that the newly approved 50 township projects are evenly distributed across the various parts of the state which was a pointer of good things to come.
Okunomo who was the spokesperson of APC Campaign Council in the 2024 Ondo gubernatorial election, also commended the governor for devoting a substantial part of the 2025 budget to infrastructural development, saying that the people of the would witness transformational development in 2025.
According to him, The equitable distribution of the township projects across the state shows sincerity of purpose and overwhelming commitment to service on the part of the governor.
“It is commendable that the state Executive Council has already approved these projects for implementation, this is a sign of better times ahead for the people of Ondo State.
“It is also noteworthy that about 62 percent of the 2025 budget is committed to infrastructural development, the initiatives of the governor are indeed commendable,” he said.
Okunomo who described the outgoing year 2024 as a very eventful year especially in the political life of the state, appreciated God for all that the state was able to achieve under the leadership of Aiyedatiwa.
“We thank God for the outgoing year 2024, It has been an eventful year especially in the political life of Ondo State, we thank God for the victory of Aiyedatiwa at the governorship polls.
“We are also grateful to the people of Ondo State, for using their votes to legitimise the Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy and I am particularly thankful to the governor for allowing me to serve as the spokesperson of his campaign council, It is politically fulfilling to be a part of the ‘Lucky Team’,” Okunomo said.
Okunomo, however, said that he saluted the courage Aiyedatiwa for being steadfast and focused, regardless of shenanigans of some political jobbers. noting that the governor has refused to be distracted in spite of all the efforts of political jobbers and blackmailers.
