Bajowa congratulates Ondo traditional ruler over appointment

The Jagunmolu of Ikaleland, Retired Maj.-Gen. Oluyemi Bajowa, has congratulated Oba (Dr) Michael Babatunde Ayeyoma, on his appointment as the 18th Lumure of Ayeka Kingdom in Okitipupa, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State approved the appointment of Oba Babatunde Ayeyoma as the Lumure on Dec. 11, 2024.

In a congratulatory message on Friday in Okitipupa, Bajowa, who is also the Ojagbulegun of Ayeka, described the new traditional ruler as possessing all the royal qualities of a king.

“There is no doubt that you will improve on the monumental achievements of the Regent, and create enduring legacies on the throne of our forefathers that will inspire generations.

“On the aupicicious occasion of your instrument of appointment and staff of office as the 18th Lumure of Ayekan Kingdom, I and my darling wife, Her Royal Highness, Princess Oluyemi Fransisca Bajowa, the immediate past Regent of the kingdom congratulate you.

“We also join your admirers and all well-wishers to say that your reign will usher in more development, progress, and peace, to Ayeka Kingdom,” he said.

Bajowa prayed that God Almighty would continue to protect the traditional ruler and give him wisdom, like King Solomon, over the people of Ayeka Kingdom.

NAN reports that Bajowa’s wife, Princess Oluyemi was the immediate past Regent of Ayekan Kingdom before the recent appointment of Oba Babatude-Ayeyoma as Lumure. (NAN).
