Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly on Wednesday congratulated Muslim faithful on occasion of the Eld-el-Kabir celebration.
The billionaire business mogul charged them to embrace the teachings of Islam be strriving for peace, love and unity in the country.
Senator Ibrahim stated that the citizens need to work for peace and unity of the nation by showing love for one another irrespective of their religious beliefs and political affiliations.
He also called for patience on the part of the citizens with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his efforts to rescue the nation’s economy from total collapse.
Ibrahim assured that some of the newly introduced economic policies of the governmenti would take some period for the impact to manifest.
According to him, “I want to seize this medium to rejoice with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Ondo State and Nigeria on the Salah celebration.
“It is important to appeal to them to embrace peace, love and unity for the coexistence of all citizens irrespective of their religious or political affiliations.
“Looking at our current socio-economic systems, it is important for us to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his strive to put the nation on good footings.
“Economic policies are not magic wands, it requires some periods for the targets of such policies come to manifestation. So, citizens are expected to be calm and cooperate with the government to implement such policies for the betterment of all.
“I want to assure you that before long our economy will take shape judging by the policies roles out so far by Tinubu.” Ibrahim said.
