Prince Okunjimi Odimayo, Member, representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has enjoined Nigerians to embrace peace, love and national unity.
The business magnate also congratulated the adherents and followers of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on the occasion of the Eld-el-Kabir celebration.
This is contained in a press statement he personally signed on Wednesday to celebrate Muslims who are his constituents home and abroad.
He said said that Eid-el-Kabir is a significant religious rite performed by Muslims across the world which commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God.”
“I congratulate all the adherents of the Islamic religion for seeing yet another year of Sallah celebration.
“This period no doubt calls for sober reflection as the father of faith obeyed Allah to sacrifice his only son. We must pursue peace that comes with the obedience and love among all”, he said.
“However, in this critical time that Nigeria is just finding her footing in virtually all sectors, I urge us to embrace unity as we are bonded by the same cord tied by our heroes past.
“We must at this auspicious moment bury our differences as a country and forge a common front that will bring us to our destined height as the Giant of Africa and the eyes of the world.”
