Akeredolu’s SA, LG boss delivers units for APC in Ondo

Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State Special Adviser on Health, Prof. Francis Adedayo-Faduyile and Chairman, Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state, Mr Igbekele Akinrinwa has won their units for All Progressives Congress (APC)

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adedayo-Faduyile’s unit 5, Ikoya/Igbisin/Oloto won 119 votes, PDP got 39 votes, LP scored one vote, SDP scored one while YPP scored one vote.

NAN also reports that Akinrinwa’s Irewole unit 14, Okitipupa Ward 2 for APC also scored 124 votes, PDP had 18 votes, ADC scored two, AA has one vote while LP also scored one vote.

Meanwhile, Adedayo-Faduyile described the process of the the election as transparent, fair and peaceful.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies for a job well done.

According to him, although the turnout of voters were relatively low, but we have relatively crowd and I the voters conducted themselves in orderly manner.

“Let us also give it to INEC and security agencies for conducting a free, fair and peaceful conduct of the election,” he said.

Meanwhile, Akinrinwa also commended the peaceful conduct of the election which he said was devoid of rancour and crisis.

He also said that the election was not marred with vote buying saying the Naira redesign policy made it impossible for vote buying.

“Although, we have low turnout but the voters were able to vote their preffered candidates without any intimidation or crises of any sort.

“There is no case of vote buying because of the Naira redisigb policy which make money unavailable anywhere, so the people voted for their preffered candidates which is the beauty of democracy,” Akinrinwa said. (NAN).
