Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, a business mogul and APC candidate for Ondo Senatoeial District in next year’s general elections has decribed the national honour confered on Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State as long overdue.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that President Muhamnadu Buhari confered the Commander of the Order of Niger (CON) on Akeredolu as well as other eminent Nigerians on Tuesday in Abuja.
Ibrahim in a congratulatory message made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Okitipupa also described Akeredolu as a patriotic Nigerian who believes in equal right and justice.
“Akeredolu is a man worthy of great honours in the land.
“Looking at his contributions to equal right and justice among the citizenry, irrespective of social strata, the conferment of national honour of CON came at the appropriate time, though long overdue.
“Every Nigerian knows how blunt he is when it comes to saying it the way it is, no mater whose ox is gored
“He speaks for the voiceless and for the nation to be put on the right path for the development of our dear country.” Ibrahim said.(NAN)
