Students of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) Okitipupa, Ondo State on Tuesdays began their first semester examination for the 2020/2021 academic session.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) NAN reports that the first semester examination which begin on Tuesday wiould end by Dec. 18.
Meanwhile, Prof. Sunday Ogunduyile, the Vice Chancellor of the institution while speaking with NAN at the school campus urged students to desits from examination malpractises.
He said that any student caught cheating in the examination hall would face the weight of the offence committed as determined by the senate disciplinary committee.
He urged students to be studious and always prepare well before coming to the examination in order to forestall any act of cheating or exam malpractices.
“Examination malpractices or cheating is a serious offence in institution of learning as students caught for the offence risk either one or two semesters rcarryovers or outright expulsion.
“The penalty depends on the weight of that allegation and the decision of the senate desciplinary committee who look into the matter.
“I urge students to be studious and prepare well becoming coming to the examination hall for them to have a clean sheet throughout the examination,” Ogunduyile said. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
