Alhaji Kamaldeen Adeyemi- Bagudu, the Chief Imam of Okitipupa has enjoined Muslims to use the holy month of Ramadan to give to the needy in order to receive from Almighty Allah.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the cleric gave this advice during his sermon at the first Ramadan Jumat Service on Friday at the Okitipupa Central Mosque, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
He said that the holy month of Ramadan was a blessed month which Muslims needed to tap the compassion of Allah for them to be blessed in return.
The cleric also urged Muslims to offer prayers for the country’s security, peace, progress and unity for the country to be a better place for all.
“The holy month of Ramadan is a month of blessings, Muslims should endeavour to give to the needy to attract compassion from Almighty Allah, the most merciful.
“Muslims should also use this opportunity to pray for the peace, progress and unity of Nigeria for it to be a better place for us all.
“We should also pray for our leaders for Almighty Allah to guide them aright for them to lead the country well for citizens to enjoy better government,” Adeyemi-Bagudu.said.
He, however, urged Muslims to also shun all forms of social vices during and after the Ramadan for all their sublications to be accepted by Almighty Allah.
NAN reports that central mosque was filled to the capacity with full observation of the Covid-19 protocol by the congregation.(NAN).
