Ondo South Senator, Prof Dayo Faduyile, OON has empowered no fewer than 300 youths of the district with skill acquisition on Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This is contained in a statement signed by Faduyile’s aide, Mr Steve Ovirih on Sunday and made available to newsmen in Okitipupa.
Faduyile said the two days online empowerment training which began from Thursday to Saturday was among the proactive efforts of the Senator to mark his hundred days in Office.
The empowerment which was sponsored and bankrolled by Faduyile was anchored by an IT training facilitating outfit based in Abuja, Prince Olatunji AI Academy.
The rigorous two-day training featured a training schedule of between 12 to 3 PM on Thursday,October 1st and 12 to 3 PM on Saturday, October 3rd,2026.
The training tagged ‘Senator Faduyile sponsored free AI Empowerment Training’ online was designed to be practical,simple and hands-on either for students, graduates, entrepreneur, farmer, job seekers ,professional or anyone interested in learning being abreat of IT and AI.
The training featured the use of AI to create stunning images, logos and adverts, turning photographs into promotional videos, promoting and selling products, farm produce and service online, writing reports, proposals and presentations.
It also includes using AI to improve business productivity, exploring affiliate marketing opportunities the AI way, understanding how AI can become valuable skill for the future and many more.
Oguntoye, the Resource Person described the training as successful with participants reaching beyond the 300 trainee threshold as over 490 registered online while not less than 109 joined the live sessions on average across days of the training and more than 400 watched on YouTube.
Faduyile in his remark congratulated the participants, noting that skill acquisition in the area of AI is gaining global attention and the youths of Ondo South can not afford to be left behind.
“When youths are equipped with the necessary AI skills they can comfortably compete with others beyond their area without finding modern IT trend as a setback to finding opportunities for economic empowerment and growth,” Faduyile said.
