The Campaign Organisation of Hon. Mathew Oye Oyerinmade (MATO), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for Ondo South, has noted the unnecessary apprehension and deliberate misinterpretation surrounding the recent Supreme Court judgment in INEC v. Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), SC/CR/495/2026.
The organisation said for the avoidance of doubt, there is no cause for alarm adding that MATO is not affected by the judgment and remains firmly on the ballot.
The judgment does not invalidate the candidacy of Oyerinmade, nor does it contain any order disqualifying him from contesting the Ondo South Senatorial election. It is therefore misleading for anyone to suggest otherwise.
MATO’s candidacy remains valid, lawful and intact. His supporters across the six Local Government Areas of Ondo South should remain calm, confident and focused, rather than allowing unnecessary political noise to create phobia where none exists.
No phobia. No distraction. MATO remains on the ballot.
