The Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON, has congratulated Pastor Segun Ayerin and other appointees inaugurated by Ondo State Governor,. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
It would be recalled that Aiyedatiwa on Thursday swore in a commissioner, special advisers and Tutors-General, while also inaugurating chairmen and members of commissions and boards at the International Centre for Culture and Events, The Dome, Akure.
Those sworn in included Erelu Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba as Commissioner for Special Duties; Rt. Hon. Abimbola Fajolu as Special Adviser on Environment; Chief Ade Adeniyi as Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development; Mr. Muyiwa Ogunyemi as Special Adviser on Transport; Mr. Femi Fadairo as Special Adviser on Special Duties and Strategy; and Rt. Hon. Iroju Ogundeji as Special Adviser on Legislative Matters.
The governor also inaugurated Dr. Man Ali as Chairman of the Civil Service Commission; Mr. Oladimeji Abimbola as Chairman of the Sports Council; Mrs. Olufunmilayo Ademulegun-Brown as Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board; Pastor Segun Ayerin as Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission; Alhaji Adam Chandy as Chairman of the Muslim Welfare Board; Pastor Peter Abimbola as Chairman of the Christian Welfare Board and other board chairmen.
In a congratulatory statement personally signed by Senator Faduyile and made available to newsmen, he described the appointment of Ayerin as well-deserved, noting his competence, experience and track record of selfless service.
The Ondo South Senator said the choice of Ayerin and other appointees reflects Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to strengthening institutions through which government delivers services to the people.
Faduyile, who noted that the appointees were selected based on competence, character and capacity to contribute to the development of the state, charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them.
He urged the new officials to key into the administration’s OUR EASE agenda, demonstrate loyalty, transparency and measurable performance, and work as one team to advance the development of Ondo State.
“On behalf of the good people of Ondo South Senatorial District, I heartily congratulate my brother and APC stalwart, Ayerin, on his inauguration, and all other distinguished appointees sworn in by our performing Governor,.
“Ayerin is a man of proven integrity, administrative acumen and unblemished public service record. I have no doubt that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear in repositioning the local government system for effective service delivery.
“I also congratulate all other chairmen, members of boards, Special Advisers and Tutors-General. This is a call to service. I urge you to hit the ground running, shun rivalry and bureaucratic obstruction, and focus on tangible results that will make life more meaningful for our people,” Faduyile said.
The federal lawmaker commended Aiyedatiwa for his painstaking selection process and for continuing to prioritise merit, fairness and professionalism in governance, and wished the appointees a successful tenure.
