Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Amb. Jimoh Ibrahim has assumed office as the chairman, UN Peacekeeping Mission.
During his inauguration at the UN headquarters in New York, United States of America, he stated that the UN would ensure stability in counter-terrorism efforts in the interest of civilians.
He also expressed appreciation to the outgoing Chairman from Canada for a job well done.
Amb. Jimoh Ibrahim now chairs two committees of the UN: Chairman, Committee on Budgetary and Administrative Matters and Chairman, Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations (C34)
Dr. Ibrahims holds degrees from Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, and Obafemi Awolowo University.
He marks 100 days in office, having been appointed by President Bola Tinubu as ambassador.
