Distinguished Senator Prof. Dayo Faduyile,OON, representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has felicitated with Ilaje Prince and former Clerk of the National Assembly, Asiwaju Yemi Ogunyomi, on the occasion of his 76th birthday.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, Faduyile described Ogunyomi as “a statesman, an institutional memory of the legislature, and a proud son of Ilajeland whose life of service continues to inspire generations.”
The lawmaker noted that Ogunyomi’s tenure as Clerk of the National Assembly was marked by professionalism, integrity and dedication to democratic ideals.
“Asiwaju Ogunyomi served the National Assembly with distinction and helped to deepen parliamentary practice in Nigeria.
“At 76, he remains a reservoir of wisdom, a bridge builder, and a reference point for good governance.” he said.
The Senator praised the celebrant’s contributions to the development of the Ilaje nation and Ondo State at large, adding that his royal leadership has continued to promote unity and progress among his people.
“On behalf of the good people of Ondo South, I celebrate this milestone with you. I pray that Almighty God will grant you good health, more years in service to humanity, and the grace to keep mentoring younger leaders,” he added.
Faduyile urged younger Nigerians to emulate Ogunyomi’s commitment to public service, discipline and community development.
