Customs boss mourns demise of Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom in Ogun

The Customs Area Controller, Ogun I Area Command, Idiroko, has expressed deep sorrow and shock over the transition of Oba Yisa Adelakun, Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom in Ogun.

The Area Comptroller, Olukayode Afeni, expressed his condolences, on behalf of the management and entire officers of the command on Wednesday in Idiroko.

The message was signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO),Zakari Chado, and made available to newsmen.

Afeni said that the late revered monarch was a pillar of peace, a custodian of rich cultural heritage, and a champion of communal harmony.

The area Comptroller added that throughout his purposeful reign, he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the development of the Ipokia kingdom and Ogun State at large.

Reflecting on the loss, Afeni stated that we have lost a father, a wise counselor and a critical stakeholder in our efforts to maintain border security and economic stability in the region.

He said that his royal majesty was highly instrumental in fostering mutual understanding and synergy between the Nigeria Customs Service and the wonderful people of Ipokia, adding that his departure leaves a massive void that will be difficult to fill.

“The Command extends its deepest sympathies to the immediate royal family, the Ipokia Traditional Council, and
the entire law abiding citizens of Ipokia Kingdom.

“We pray that the Almighty grants the royal family and the people of Ipokia the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and may the soul of the departed monarch rest in perfect peace.”he said.

The late King, Onipokia of Ipokia, died early this week.(NAN)
