Ondo South All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Mr. Omoyele Olabode has reacted to Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s interview on a Prime Time TV show in which he gave a revelation on how a proactive intelligence in the state House prevented an attempt to bomb the prized government facility.
He said Aiyedatiwa’s proactive security gathering approach has made the Sunshine State to be a secured sub national structure in the South West and the good people of Ondo State are very grateful for this.
Olabode noted that security is a front burner issue in Nigeria and it is very reassuring that in Ondo State, the incumbent governor is on top of the situation, noting that if it were to be some other state, the attempt to bomb the State House would have been easily possible owing to crack in state security structure.
Olabode said while Aiyedatiwa is actively galvanizing the available resources in the state towards consolidating security, the good people of Ondo State should also see safety in their neighbourhood as a collective effort and should not leave the issue of security to government alone.
Olabode assured Aiyedatiwa of the cooperation of the citizens of Ondo State, noting that in Nigeria now, the challenge of insecurity has heightened the tension across the country and the citizenry must continue to support the state structure through provision of necessary intelligence to foster any untoward attack.
