A stakeholder of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Mr.Omoyele Olabode has described the turnout of South-West APC members for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the just concluded Presidential Primary election as highly commendable and a show of strength and support for a productive son of Oodua
He added that Tinubu has become a unique Prophet who has honour in his own land.
Olabode gave this indication during an exclusive chat with newsmen at a media session where he showed obvious enthusiasm over the fact that the APC members across SouthWest gave a total vote of 1,648,451 to support the continuity of Tinubu’s government beyond the first term.
“I felt really elated when I saw that Ondo State gave 181,996 votes for the second term aspiration of our ever effective President.
“This confirms beyond doubt the massive support of Ondo State APC under the able leadership of Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
“Of course, Lagos put up the strongest showing with total vote cast of 814,988 votes. There is no beating the Center of Excellence status of Lagos State when it comes to pulling the punches for our Pan-Nigeria, Pan-Yoruba President.
“Other states of the SouthWest equally did very well with Oyo polling 142,754 votes, Osun, 10,888 votes, Ekiti with 85,340 votes and Ogun coming on the heels of Lagos State with a staggering 322,485 votes.
“All these are strong indication that the SouthWest is not allowing other regions to steal the show when it comes to indicating massive support for Tinubu’s second term,” Olabode stated.
He saluted all the SouthWest states, adding that in Yoruba parlance, the owner of a haulage is the one who first lifts up his commodity before others join in support, hence his enthusiasm in commending South West APC members for having gone all out in support of their son, the President of Nigeria.
“As we get prepared for the 2027 general elections, we have no doubt that the SouthWest will pull a better show at the polls for the emergence of Tinubu as a second term President,” Olabode stressed.
