Gov. Siminalanye Fubara has dumped the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC)
The political landscape in Rivers State is taking shape as Blessing Fubara Snr., a political stakeholder and relative of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress(APC) to the Nigeria Democratic Congress(NDC).
Fubara was received in Abuja by Seriake Dickson and other party stakeholders.
According to him, the decision was driven by the need to “protect the soul of Rivers State” amid the growing political tension ahead of 2027.
“The soul of Rivers State is at stake,” he said.
The defection is already fueling fresh conversations about the shifting political calculations happening quietly ahead of the next general elections.
