A prominent indigene of Igbotako in Ondo South and Lagos based Real Estate business magnate, Mr. Omoyele Olabode has congratulated the newly unveiled Monarch of the ancient kingdom of Irele, His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Omopariola Odimayo for his victory and emergence as the monarch of Irele.
It will be recalled that Irele’s stool had been vacant since the demise of Oba Olanrewaju Lebi and Prince Ayeromara had held fort in the town as the Regent.
The long clamour among ruling houses for the emergence of a substantive Olofun of Irele peaked in May with the arrival of Oba Odimayo on the stool of his forefathers in a selection process by warrant chiefs who voted for Prince Odimayo’s emergence over all the heirs apparent and contenders for the stool.
Mr. Olabode Omoyele in his congratulatory message, obtained by newsmen, described Oba Samuel Odimayo as a well read and well exposed personage who is tailored fit for the stool of Olofun, noting that he is a proud alumnus of the prestigious University of Ibadan.
He maintained that there is no good thing in life that is not keenly contender but at the end a victor has to emerge, noting that Oba Odimayo’s victory is fated and divine, stressing that God has chosen him from the beginning of time and it’s only now that the appointed time for his impeccable pronouncement.
Olabode also congratulated the good people of Irele for the peaceful process of the selection of their monarch which he described as thorough and egalitarian as it allowed the coordinating input of government both at the State and Local Government level.
He averred that in all human situation, elevation, promotion or leverage to the next level for any human does not come without the divine nod of God, appealing to other contenders for the throne of Olofun to align with the divine order of preferment which has thrown up the candidacy and eventual election of Oba Samuel Odimayo, stressing that it is a thing of joy and celebration that a town which has been without a king for donkey years now have a king who is a renowned academic with special social leverage which will be pressed into the development of the town.
Olabode rounding off his congratulatory remark, called on Oba Odimayo to extend olive branches to all the other contenders to the throne while calling for the massive support of all the good people of Irele for Oba Odimayo to have a peaceful and successful reign.
