Mr Omoyeke Olabode, Igbotako born All Progressives Congress, (APC) stakeholder has congratulated the new Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele on his official assumption of duty.
Olabode in his congratulatory statement which was obtained by newsmen noted that Oyedele’s steady rise is worthy of commendation, saluting his enviable emergence as the number one economic policy maker in the ‘Renewed Hope Agemda’ of President Bola Tinubu.
He described the new Minister of Finance as an astute tax expert, adding that within the spate of weeks he moved from being the Minsiter of State for Finance to the substantive Minister of Finance, describing this soaring rise of the Akoko born technocrat as an indication of the huge trust this present government repose in his competence and ability.
He noted that it is obvious that the new Minister is aware of the critical juncture the nation’s economy has found itself hence the need for him to hit the ground running not just by consolidating on the gains of the input of the outgone Minister, Wale Edun but by projecting economic reforms that will sync with the expectation of Nigerians who are yearning to feel the impacts of the reforms in their individual life.
While expressing confidence in Oyedele’s ability to bring about a prudent, transparent and sustainable management of public services, Olabode charged him to enact good policies which execution will transform to plausible benefits for the greater good of the Nigerian masses who have been at the receiving end of the consequences of fuel subsidy removal.
He added that the minister should focus on verifiable implementation of fiscal policies that Nigerians can easily identify with while expressing trust in his resounding accountability.
Olabode also congratulated Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa under whose watch a cerebral indigene of the Sunshine State takes the pilot seat of the nation’s economy.
He, however, wishes Oyedele well in his new executive tour of duty and national assignment, charging him to make Nigeria and Ondo State proud.
