Ondo South All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Mr.Omoyele Olabode has commiserated with the family of Ayeniyi, a former Okitipupa Local Government Area Chairman, over the death of Chief Olayeye Ayeniyi on Friday.
Olabode also condole with Ode Erinje kingdom over the death of Ayeniyi, the Ojomo of Erinje kingdom.
In an endorsed statement, which was made available to newsmen, Olabode described Ayeniyi as a foremost APC leader in Ondo State and a great political leader of thought.
Olabode added that his era at local government administration was known for high wired politics and robust administration of the third tier of government in Ondo State.
He said the deceased leader was no doubt a lover of development and a pan Ikale personality per excellence, stressing that he was among the political elite in government who championed the idea of projecting an Ikale man for governor, which materialized eventually in the Olusegun Agagu administration.
It would be recalled that Ayeniyi was Okitipupa LGA Chairman from 1999 to 2002 on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He expressed specially his sympathy with the Orungberuwa-in-Council over the death of an illustrious son and a community leader in the ancient Erinje Kingdom.
Describing Chief Ayeniyi’s demise as a great loss to both his community and the Ondo APC, Omoyele Olabode noted that the deceased lived a life of fulfillment having contributed to the political growth of Okitipupa Local Government as a Council Chair whose tenure recorded political advancement.
Omoyele encouraged the deceased family to to trust God in this period of mourning as only God can grant the family the fortitude to bear the pains of such a huge loss of a darling father and patriarch. He noted that the family should be proud, however of the fact that Hon.Chief Olayeye Ayeniyi’s life and time was about a legacy of quality leadership and enviable administrative record.
