INEC’s prompt release of 2027 election timetable in order – Faduyile

Prof. Dayo Faduyile,OON, has reacted to the development coming from Independent National Electrical Commission (INEC) on the 2027 General Election.

It would be recalled that the electoral body on Friday in Abuja released the 2027 General Election timetable which fixed the Presidential and National Assembly elections for Feb. 20 while Governorship and State House of Assemblies election was fixed for March 6

In a swift reaction, Prof. Faduyile, an aspirant for the Ondo’ South Senatorial seat, described the official release of time table as a prompt and welcome development, adding that with official release, INEC has put the Nigerian political class on notice of its readiness to conduct another round of free and fair general elections.

It would also be recalled the Ondo’ South Senatorial seat became vacant following the appointment of it’s occupier, Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim,CFR, as an Ambassadorial -Designate  by President Bola Tinubu.

Prof. Faduyile, however, said that the politically conscious Nigerians are all looking up to the Prof. Amupitan led INEC for an improvement on the electrical process in Nigeria.

He noted that with the released time table, it’s one year to the General elections, maintaining that All Progressives Congress (APC) has a sure footed Presidential candidate in the incumbent President Bola Tinubu, whose Renewed Hope Agenda is worthy of continuity.
