Lagos State received the highest allocation of N726.99 billion from the Federation Account in 2025.
The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursed a total of Total: N9.12 trillion to the 36 states in 2025.
According to data obtained from FAAC and NBS, a state-by-state allocation analysis listed top recipients to include Lagos State which received the highest allocation of N726.99 billion, followed by Delta (N689.74 billion).
Rivers gets (N585.22 billion) and Akwa Ibom (N515.27 billion), Bayelsa (N509.23 billion), Kano (N298.81 billion), Oyo (N255.81 billion), Kaduna (N236.31 billion), Edo ( N227.66 billion) and Imo (N226.44 billion).
Others are Katsina, (N223.63 billion), Ondo (N219.82 billion), Anambra (N211.86 billion), Borno (N209.28 billion), Bauchi (N208.79 billion), Niger (N205.58 billion), Jigawa (N203.26 billion, Benue (N200.57 billion), Sokoto (N194.31 billion), Abia (N191.58 billion), Kogi (N189.25 billion), Plateau (N184.49 billion), Kebbi (N183.26 billion), Adamawa (N181.88 billion), Ogun (N180.13 billion) and Zamfara (N179.82 billion).
Lowest recipients are Enugu: (N179.60 billion), Cross River (N174.89 billion), Osun (N173.49 billion), Yobe (N171.03 billion), Taraba (N166.74 billion), Gombe (N166.52 billion), Kwara (N166.03 billion), Ekiti (N163.91 billion), Nasarawa (N161.72 billion) and Ebonyi (N161.35 billion).
