Prince Bankole Adeyefa, the new Elemure-elect of Emure-Ile in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, has said that, he will priorities the security and employment of his people after his enthronment.
Adeyefa until his selection on Aug. 25 by the kingmakers, was the Chief Procurement Officer and acting Head of the Procurement Unit of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH’), Okitipupa, Ondo State.
NAN reports that the new Elemure-elect who was the direct son of the immediate past traditional ruler, late Oba Simeon Adedubaje-Adeyefa, emerged winner after polling the highest votes against other nine contestants.
Adeyefa told NAN on Saturday in Okitipupa, that his agenda hinged on four points of love, security, agriculture and industrialisation.
The Oba-elect, said that he would collaborate with the state government and other security agencies in the state to ensure the security of lives and properties of his subjects.
He also said that he would partner with some Chinese firms in collaboration with the state government to ensure industrialisation in Emure-Ile in order to create employment opportunities for the teeming youths in his kingdom.
According to him, I will ensure that love exist among my subjects for all to be in unity and oneness in order to foster development of the kingdom.
“Emule-Ile shares boundaries with both Ekiti and Kwara states, and in this case, security is very germane, this will make me collaborate with the state government and other security agencies on security of lives and property of my peope which is very important at this time.
“Through collaboration with the state government and some Chinese firms, we will industrialise my community and employment will be created for the youths of this community.
“The state government in partnership with the federal government will also delve into proper agriculture and make it attractive to the youths as a way of creating jobs too,” Adeyefa said.
The Oba-elect who also said that “Ajagbo Festival” the only traditional festival in the kingdom would henceforth taken to international standard where sons and daughters both home and in the diaspora.would be proud to celebrate.
He, however, thanked Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his continuity on projects in Emure-Ile especially the construction of the only access road which was initiated by late Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Adeyefa while dedicating his selection to the glory of God, also lauded his late father for the vast development in Emure-Ile in his 25 years reign, promising more cooperation with the Aiyedatiwa led administration.
Adeyefa holds professional qualifications of Masters (MBA) in Procurement and Supply Chain; Bachelor of Science (Business Administration); Post Graduate Diploma (Financial Management) and has worked at different public institutions before becoming the Chief Procurement Officer at OAUSTECH. (NAN)
