Fuji star Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate or Kwam 1, has apologised over his recent clash with some ValueJet staff at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The incident happened on Tuesday.
In a video released to Channels TV on Friday, KWAM 1 admitted his actions were wrong and expressed regret.
“I take full responsibility for what happened,” he said. “I sincerely apologise to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who I regard as my father, the Minister of Aviation, the pilot, the airline, its staff, fellow passengers, my fans worldwide, and my family.”
The singer stressed that he has always been a good ambassador for Nigeria and should not have been involved in such a scene.
He appealed again for forgiveness from the President, the government, aviation authorities, and his supporters.
Explaining the cause of the dispute, he said it involved a water-filled container. “Because of my health, my doctor advised me to sip water regularly to avoid dehydration,” he explained.
He reiterated his remorse: “My love for Nigeria is unshakable. I will continue to fly the flag of this nation proudly for the rest of my life. Please accept my apology.”
