Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, Vice-Chancellor, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State, has lauded the appointment of Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun as Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Monday inaugurated 16 new commissioners including Ajibefun, a former Vice-Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
Ologunorisa in a congratulatory message on Thursday in Okitipupa described Ajibefun’s appointment as a testament to his dedication, expertise and leadership in the field of education.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed confidence that Ajibefun would work tirelessly to promote excellence in education and science, and aligned with the state’s development agenda.
Ologunorisa noted that Ajibefun’s leadership would undoubtedly inspire confidence and foster innovation in the education and science sectors.
He wished Ajibefun all the best in his new role and looked forward to seeing the positive changes he would bring to the education and science sectors in the state.
According to him, the appointment of the former vice-chancellor is seen as a strategic move to leverage his expertise in driving the state’s education and science agenda.
“As commissioner, he is expected to develop and implement policies that will improve the quality of education and promote scientific innovation in the state,” he said.
Ologunorisa said that the university’s commitment was to supporting the state’s development agenda and its confidence in Ajibefun’s ability to make a positive impact in his new role. (NAN)
