Tinubu conference centre generates N650m in 3 weeks – Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre has generated N650 million within just three weeks of its unveiling, a significant leap from the N50 million it previously generated annually before its major renovation.

Wike made the revelation during a live media chat in Abuja on Thursday, while dismissing criticisms on the N39 billion spent on renovating the conference centre.

The minister also addressed allegations that he allocated 41 plots of land to his two sons, describing the claims as false and sponsored by a failed politician from Adamawa State.

He declined to name the individual, insisting that such distractions contribute nothing to national development.

Speaking on the political situation in Rivers State, Wike declared that peace had returned, following his reconciliation with suspended governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

He accused certain individuals of exploiting the crisis for personal gain, likening their activities to tapping from an “oil well” that has now dried up.
