There was pandemonium on Wednesday afternoon when Kolade Alabi, Chairman of Bariga Local Government of Lagos State, suddenly slumped during a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alabi, who is also the chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) abruptly lost consciousness and collapsed during stakeholders’ meeting.
The incident happened at the party’s Secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja, Lagos.
The incident occurred sparked shock and anxiety among the large crowd of party faithful and dignitaries in attendance.
Immediate efforts were made to revive him, and he was quickly rushed to an undisclosed hospital for urgent medical attention.
However, the cause of Alabi’s sudden collapse has not yet been disclosed.
Meanwhile, APC stakeholders’ meeting was momentarily suspended following the incident, with many expressing concern and offering prayers for Alabi’s swift recovery.
