We often call it a rumour because there’s no evidence, others may dismiss it as just a story, until the evidence emerges. Then, it’s no longer a rumour or a tale; it becomes history.
Now, we can all agree that “if a man is diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings.” He will not merely associate with ordinary men, but with individuals of great value and potential. Such a man doesn’t just stand with kings, he sits among them because his labour and resilience command honour and celebration.
Today, we proudly celebrate such a man – our very own Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim, the distinguished senator representing Ondo South. He has officially received the operating licence for his university, the University of Fortune, located in Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.

This achievement is not just a personal milestone, but a collective victory for the people of Ondo South. It is a testament to the electorate’s wisdom in choosing a leader who delivers on his promises.
The issuance of the licence marks a major turning point, not only for the university’s academic future but for the economic and social growth of the region. Beyond academics, we understand the ripple effect this development will bring employment, innovation, and opportunity.
Indeed, this is a fortune for Igbotako dwellers, the people of Okitipupa Local Government, and the entire Ondo South. As the name rightly suggests, University of Fortune is destined to be a blessing to our land.
Finally, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to a man who continually redefines leadership, a man of vision, mission, action, and tangible results. I would have called him “alewi lese”, the one who speaks and acts, but that title is reserved for Eledumare alone.
Dear Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim, we celebrate you today. Thank you for your service to Ondo South. May you be granted more strength and greater capacity to accomplish even more.
