Two popular Nollywood actresses, Laide Bakare and Eniola Badmus were involved in a public altercation on Sunday during a movie premiere event in Lagos.
According to reports, the incident occurred at the premiere of Owanbe Thieves, a film produced by actress Eniola Ajao.
The confrontation reportedly began when Bakare attempted to film herself on the dance floor with Badmus.
In a video widely circulated on social media, Badmus was seen expressing anger and discomfort about being included in the recording.
“Must I be in your video? Don’t film us together, we are not friends.” Badmus said
Her comments sparked immediate tension between the two actresses.
Bakare reacted by pushing Badmus and responding in Yoruba, saying, “Se o ya were? Kini iru embarrassment yi? Se o ya were?” which translates as “Are you mad? What kind of embarrassment is this? Are you insane?”
The event was attended by several industry personalities and media representatives.
Many guests appeared shocked as the situation briefly disrupted the festive atmosphere.
Neither of them has issued an official statement addressing the cause or aftermath of the dispute
Efforts to contact their representatives were unsuccessful as of Monday morning.
