Impeached Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa has been reinstated as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly following the resignation of Mojisola Meranda.
Meranda, who stepped down from the speakership on Monday, was subsequently elected as the Deputy Speaker
Expressing her commitment to the role, Meranda assured that she would continue to serve the state with integrity and dedication.
It would be recalled that 26 members of house on Jan. 13 impeached Obasa’ over allegation of gross misconduct and financial impropriety.
Obasa’ who later returned from his vacation abroad, however approached the court over the impeachment saga.
