Jimoh Ibrahim’s bill on establishment of College of Education now at committee stage

The Senate has passed the bill sponsored by Senator representing Ondo Southern Senatorial District, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim seeking the establishment of Federal College of Education at Igbekebo, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The bill, which had passed through reading stages, was on Thursday passed by the Senate.

After the passage of the Bill, it was sent to the Senate Committee for recommendations and .modalities for the creation of the higher institution of learning.

Sen. Ibrahim has presented, among other people-oriented bills, the bill for the establishment of a Federal College of Education in the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State upon assumption at the red chamber.

With the passage of the Bill, the Senate Committee would make recommendations and plans on how to establish the institution including provision of land and funds.

No doubt, as soon as the President of the Federal Republic gives his assent to the bill, the host community and the local government would experience socio-economic development.

It would further encourage and provide platform for youths in all the communities in the local government and the state at large to have seamless access to education.
