Makinde approves N80,000 minimum wage for Oyo workers

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has approved N80,000 as new minimum wage for workers in the state.

Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dotun Oyelade, made this declaration in a statement on Wednesday in Ibadan.

Oyelade isaid that the Technical Committee set up by the state government recommended the amount.

He added that the state governor has approved the recommendation.

“This new scale will be implemented as soon as the consequential adjustments process is completed by the committee which comprises of Government and Labour top officials.” Oyelade said.
