The Akure- Ondo- Ore Highway road project was listed among the 13 road projects approved by the Federal Executive Council on Monday 29th July 2024.
It would be recalled that Sen. Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN Senator Representing Ondo Central Senatorial District in 2023 facilitated the inclusion of the Akure- Ondo- Ore dualization project into the 2024 National Budget signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
The 13 roads project approved by the Federal Government cut across various States of the federation and worth about #1.455Tn .
The minister of works, Dave Umahi disclosed this while speaking with newsmen at the outcome of the Federal Executive Council Meeting presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Investigation revealed that the federal lawmaker who doubles as the Chairman Senate Committee on Judiciary Human Rights and Legal Matters worked tirelessly with Sen. Adeola Olamilekan led Senate Appropriation Committee to ensure the success of the dualization project because of his believe that the road project will help to improve social- economic development of his constituents and Nigerians at large .
Adegbonmire also recently pushed for the rehabilitation of the Ibadan- Ilesha Highway during his contribution at the National Assembly.
