Ondo 2024: We’ll work together for Ondo people, Aiyedatiwa tells Ibrahim.

Ondo State governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has welcomed the decision of Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim to withdraw the suit challenging the outcome of the April 20 primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state

Ibrahim who represents Ondo South Senatorial District, had said he withdrew the case due to the intervention by President Bola Tinubu.

“This suit is now withdrawn due to the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The president called me, had a meeting with me, and assured me he would, as the leader of the party, improve internal democracy within our party.

“I will need to withdraw the case to enable him to chart a way forward.

“Gov. Aiyedatiwa, earlier visited my Asokoro residence for several hours after another unsuccessful visit to my hotel room in Akure,” Ibrahim said.

Aiyedatiwa spoke through the director of information, Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers Independent Council (LACO-FSIC), Kayode Fasua.

The Ondo governor said Senator Ibrahim has proven to have good regard for the instrument of dialogue to resolve resolvable disputes as against burdening the judiciary.He said: “His consent to the intervention of Mr. President, and that of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa itself, is welcome.

“As a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Ondo South Senatorial District, he is commended for a proper rumination of his earlier decision to take his party, the APC, and Mr Governor to court, having sat over the scenario and given vent to a peaceful resolution.

“Together, we move to work together for the people of Ondo State and seek the voters’ mandate of a four-year service, come November 16, this year.”

He said: “His consent to the intervention of Mr. President, and that of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa itself, is welcome.

“As a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Ondo South Senatorial District, he is commended for a proper rumination of his earlier decision to take his party, the APC, and Mr Governor to court, having sat over the scenario and given vent to a peaceful resolution.

“Together, we move to work together for the people of Ondo State and seek the voters’ mandate of a four-year service, come November 16, this year.”
