The Supreme Court on Friday certified the election of Dauda Lawal of PDP as the Governor of Zamfara State.
The apex court set aside the decision of the Court of Appeal, Abuja, which had declared the Governorship Election inconclusive and ordered a re-run in three Local Government Areas of the state.
“The decision of the Court of Appeal has no evidential foundation.
“The judgement of the Court of Appeal delivered in November is set aside.
“The order setting aside the appellant’s election is set aside. And the election of the Appellant is upheld,” Justice Agim said.
