Many that are not in tune with the popular aphorism that “Proper Planning Prevent Poor Performance” keep wondering why the Distinguished Senator of Ondo South Senatorial District at the earliest opportunity moves to get things done in ONDO SOUTH. In truth, we have had both good and great leaders but the great leaders do things differently and that little effort outshines whatever their predecessors might have brought to the archive of history.
Quality and sustainable education, being a golden fleece to be possessed by all is the bedrock of societal development. That’s why Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim CFR who has a private higher institution- Fortune University, Igbotako is not greedily hoodwinked to leave Ondo South at the mercy of his Internationally standardized citadel of learning without providing alternatives within the limit of comparative competition of education policy.
The bills for the establishment of higher institutions of learning in Ondo South, to some that places less premium on education might seem as a wild-goose chase. To me, such persons have lost touch with present global reality where education dictates the pace in line with the thoughts of late South African President and Freedom Fighter– Nelson Mandela who opined that “Education is the most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world.”.
Senator (Dr.) Jimoh Ibrahim CFR is not ready to give us a fish just to feed us for a day; he’s teaching us how to fish and for us to feed for a lifetime.
Let’s hope we get our desired expectations on the bills to establish;
1. Federal College of Education, Igbekebo {Establishment} Bill 2023; {SB, 169}
2. Federal Polytechnic, Igbokoda, Ondo State {Establishment} Bill, 2023; {SB, 169}
3. Federal College of Agriculture at Odigbo LG{Amendment}, 2023 {SB, 179}
All the above among other bills to be unveiled are for the greater good of all. Let’s key into the Aseyori Agenda to grow our land.
