President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate replacement of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Ondo State Representative nominee, Hon Victor Akinjo, with a new nominee, Hon. Otito Atikase.
This was contained in a statement signed by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity on Friday in Abuja
The replacement of Akinjo with Atikase was unconnected to series of protests by members of All Progressives Congress (APC) claiming that the nomination of Akinjo was not fair since he was from the opposition party of People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
Tinubu has equally approved the immediate replacement of the NDDC’s Cross River State Representative nominee, Mr. Asi Oku Okang, with a new Representative, Rt. Hon. Orok Otuk Duke.
Furthermore, the immedate past Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku was reappointed for a second term and would remain in acting capacity, pending the Senate’s confirmation of his reappointment.
