Ore Festival: Irele chairmanship aspirant greets indigenes, sues for peace

Otunba Daisi Akinrodoye, the All Progressives Congress (APC) frontline chairmanship aspirant in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State has extended his warmest greetings to Irele sons and daughters on this year annual Ore festival in the community, which holds between July 12 and July 13.

This is contained in a statement signed by his media aide, Mr Ayoola Omotola Omomunijoye on Wednesday in Irele

The aspirant congratulated them as they hold the festival in a glamorous way, urging them to use the avenue to pray for the continual peace and progress of the community, the state and Nigeria at large.

“I enjoined them to conduct themselves in a peaceful and harmonious manner that is devoid of any form of violence in the course of the celebration.

“The essence of any festival is to rejoice and pray fervently for the goodness and favour of God,” he said

Akinrodoye also eulogized Irele traditional leaders for respecting the culture of the land and provide rooms for traditional festivals to thrive, in tandem with our forefather’s vision of preserving the cultural heritage of the kingdom.

He, however, wished them and the entire people of the community a peaceful and joyous celebration.
