Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, billionaire business mogul and Senator-elect for Ondo South Senatorial Discrict, has described as mischievous the rumour making the rounds that Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State is dead
It would he recalled that the social media was awash on Saturday with rumours to that Akeredolu who had been sick was dead.
Berating the purveyors of the rumour, Ibrahim said the governor is a human being like everyone and is prone to fall sick.
“Governor Akeredolu is not a machine nor a robot that does not fall sick,” Jimoh Ibrahim said.
“It is wicked and disheartening to read on the social media that Gov. Akeredolu is dead when he is alive watching the FA Cup final in his sitting room in Ibadan.
“Such rumour is satanic, mischievous and too wicked for anyone to cook up and circulate.
“Arakunrin is a human being not a machine. Its only machine or robot that does not get sick.
“Considering his loads of work and the enormous responsibility of governor of a state like Ondo State, it is normal for whoever governs such a state to go on rest particularly when his doctor says so.
“Those who are fond of cooking up and spreading rumours should desist from playing with someone’s health condition.
“I want to assure the people of Ondo State and Nigerians in general that Akeredolu is alive,” Ibrahim added.
