At a time in those days of yore, Ondo South Senatorial district was the toast of other districts in Nigeria and even across the West African subregion.

What has changed?

We were divided beyond redemption and the agents of division are not yet done with their evil agenda towards drowning the ship of unity of our dear district.

Any hope?

Of course, there is hope as our hewn trees is already smelling the freshness of the river bank and gushing in the air of replenishment. The unity of the Ondo South Senatorial District is non negotiable and we are determined to see this through.

The Ondo South Unity Football Tournament powered and sponsored by Dr Jimoh Ibrahim CFR is really the magic wand to bring us together more than ever before. We all know that the power and influence of the round leather game across the globe cannot be overemphasized.

Ondo South is coming alive once again and the flame of unity lighted by the enigmatic, charismatic and fantastic new bred of the new political order who is popularly and culturally answered to the sobriquet “Araba” will keep burning and the coming generations will build on this enduring legacy.

The match kicks starts today, Friday as Odigbo FC will be slugging it out with Ese-Odo FC.

The venues will be communicated in due tune.

Let’s come together as one united Ondo South and help place our land on the front burner of national development.
