William Shakespeare said, “No legacy is so rich as honesty. It is clear as the sky is blue that PDP is being controlled by people that deviated from the good legacies left behind by Dr Olusegun Agagu for the transformation of Ondo South senatorial district.
Many had thought that political rivalry between the former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and his former boss and predecessor, Dr Olusegun Agagu would end when the latter died . It indeed, became worse, when Iroko abandoned Agagu’s legacies in the oil rich senatorial district and diverted fortunes from the district to provide infrastructure in Ondo Central senatorial district because of his next political ambition.
This is the main reason Dr Jimoh Ibrahim CFR and others like Chief Olusola Oke (SAN), Hon Isaac Kekemeke left PDP to strategizes how the Sun would shine again in Ondo South.
In a media chat with Punch News men on 23rd of October, 2016, Ibrahim CFR explained explicitly how unproductive
Iroko’s administration was in Ondo State. In Araba’s words “Never again will Ondo State be deceived by this kind of a person. Mimiko collected about N1tn in eight years of his administration. Where are the roads? The state of affairs in Ondo State took terrible turn.
When the late Agagu was governor, he left N36bn in the treasury of the state. How much is Mimiko leaving now? He is leaving debts. We leave him to God. Let him judge himself with his conscience”.
Like “Iroko” like his political ” godson” they focused all their years on pure politics, selfishness, egocentrism, malice, iniquity and spite.
The Agagu’s government legacy can only be revisited by Ibrahim as the only qualified candidate with the right mix and academic qualifications, exposure , experimental knowledge and capacity to influence infrastructure for the people of the coastal areas through the Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission.
