Prince Jimi Odimayo, All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain have sympathised with Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State over the death of his mother, Mrs Grace Akeredolu.
Mrs Akeredolu was reportedly died in her sleep at the age of 90 years in the early hours of Thursday in Ibadan.
Odimayo in a statement he signed on Thursday in Irele, Irele Local Government Area, said that he received the news of demise of Mrs Akeredolu with a rude shock as she was radiating and bubbling since her 90th birthday last year.
The APC candidate for Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency in 2023 general elections, described the late matriarch as a nice person, philanthropic and a devoted christian to the service of God and humanity.
He commiserated with Gov. Akeredolu, his siblings and the entire Akereolu’s urging them to take solace in Almighty God because of the exemplary lifetime of mama who was an evangelist.
“The news of the transition to eternity of the mother of our dutiful governor came to me personally as a rude shock because Mama have been radiating and bubbling with life since her 90th birthday last year.
“She was truly a wonderful woman that all of us will always remember how amazing she was, her motherly advice, free gift of wisdom, generosity and agape love.
“However, we take solace in the Almighty God for an exemplary lifetime, devoted to serving God and humanity, especially in evangelising and philanthropic gestures of late Akeredolu.
“Our joy know no bound knowing fully well that Mama was an angel and shall remain one among other saints in heaven.
“To our Governor and his siblings, your mother was one of the nicest person ever, so I sympathise with the entire Akeredolu family, Owo kingdom, the Anglican Communion and Ondo State in general.
“I pray for you and your family on this painful loss. May your mother live among you through her sweet memories and unconditional love to everyone she had contact with during her sojourn on planet earth.
“Please accept my sincere condolence for Mama’s death, as no one can replace her place but Almighty God can comfort your heart! May her soul rest in perfect peace.
“Your Excellency, stay strong while mourning your beloved and kindhearted mother. My deepest sympathy to you, your family, Owo kingdom, Anglican Communion and the entire Ondo State.
“May the kind and gentle soul rest peacefully in the blossom of our Lord Jesus,” Odimayo stated.
