Business mogul, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim has said that the elevation of some traditional rulers in Ondo State will engender investment and vast development across their dormans.
This was contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim on Sunday and made available to newsmen in Okitipupa.
It would be recalled that the state government on Aug. 25 upgraded no fewer than 23 traditional rulers from grade C to grade B and some from grade B to grade A across the three senatorial district of the state.
Ibrahim, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ondo South Senatorial District at next year’s general elections also commended Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the historic feat recorded.
While congratulating the traditional rulers who benefited from the new upgrade in the Southern Senatorial district, Ibrahim charged them to see the elevation as a call to service and opportunity to develop their dormans in their new capacity.
The APC stalwart also charged all sons and daughters of the communities to rally round their royal fathers in attracting investment and development to the kingdoms.
According to him, I want to commend Gov Akeredolu for the historic stride he took by upgrading some of the traditional rulers in the state.
“Particularly, I want to appreciate him for upgrading some of our monarchs in the Southern Senatorial district.
“I want to assure our traditional institutions in Ondo South that I will join hands with them in their moves to bring development to their domains.
“I appeal to all sons and daughters of Ondo South, particularly those from the towns whose monarchs have just been upgraded to join hands with the royal fathers to attracted investors and development to their communities.
“I, therefore, congratulate our royal fathers who have just been upgraded. Long may they reign.” Ibrahim said.
The traditional rulers elevated the the southern district are: Maporure of Agerige and Eletikan of Etikain in Ilaje Local Government Area (LGA) and Oluoke of Oke-Igbo in Ile Oluji/Oke-Igbo LGA
Others are: Ahaba of Ajagba, Larogbo of Akotogbo and Odogbo of Ominla in Irele LGA, Orunja of Odigbo in Odigbo LGA, Halu of Ode-Aye and Orungberuwa of Erinje in.Okitipupa LGA.
