Dr Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ondo South Senatorial District at 2023 general election on Wednesday appreciates Arogbo and Ijaw strongman, Chief Bibopreye Ajube over his support for the landslide victory at the senatorial primaries.
It would be recalled that Ibrahim polled 190 votes to defeat his closest rivals, Mathew Oyerinmade and Boye Oyewunmi who got 92 and 23 votes respectively.
Ibrahim who has visited other communities in the district to appreciate constituents and supporters said it would not be out of place to appreciate the kind gesture of the Arogbo chieftain.
The billionaire business tycoon also seize the opportunity to present his historic Doctor of Business degree recently awarded by Judges Business School, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom to Ajube.
Chief Ajube, who was one of the chieftain who encouraged Ibrahim to vie for the ticket stressed that his senatorial ambition has come at a right time.
Ajube who described Ibrahim as a capable hand with sterling qualities to respresnt Ondo South at the red chamber, however pledged that he and other stakeholders in the district would join hands together to ensure his victory at next year’s poll.
While applauding Ibrahim on his new academic feat which he said has put Ondo South in a global Hall of Fame, the Arogbo chieftain also expressed his delight at the decision taken by the astute politician and founder of University of Fortune, Igbotako to honour him with his academic accolade.
He also appreciated Ibrahim’s kind gesture of presenting his wife a very expensive handset.
In attendance during the visit were Arogbo community chiefs as well as Mr Donald Ojogo, the APC cadidate for Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency at next year’s general election .
