Dr Jimoh Ibrahim, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ondo South Senatorial District, has urged Muslims nationwide to embrace love, peace and unity for Nigeria to surmount its challenges.
Ibrahim said this in his Eld-el-Kabir message on Saturday in Okitipupa, to felicitate Muslim faithful across Ondo South, the state and Nigeria at large.
The business mogul urged Muslims and Nigerians in general to continue to show love, embrace peace and unity, noting that the present challenges bedvilling the nation were phases that would pass.
Ibrahim also advised Muslims to remember the current economic challenges; celebrate moderately, and not put themselves into unnessacesary stress and debt because of the Eld-el-Kabir celebration.
“I want to seize this medium to congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters in Ondo South Senatorial District and in the state at large, on the celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir.
“I want to implore them to continue to pursue love, peace and further the unity of our country in spite the current challenges bedvilling the country.
“It is important to note that Muslims should celebrate moderately in view of the current economic challenges in order not to put themselves on unnessary stress and debt because Allah has already answered our prayers because He is the provider,” Ibrahim said.
He wished Muslims happy Eld-el-Kabir celebration, and urged youths to merry responsibly and not do anything that would strain the joy and happiness accompanying the season.
He also urged the youth, who he described as the glory and future of the country, to be focused, dedicated and maintain morally sound pathways to contribute their own quota to nation building. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
