The Police Command in Ondo State has urged residents of the state to report suspicious movements to the nearest police station during the Easter celebration.
ASP Funmilayo Odunlami, the command’s Public Relations Officer, gave the advice in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Okitipupa.
Odunlami said that residents must be security conscious during the celebration due to the influx of people into the state.
She also said that the command had deployed personnel to all entry points and black sports as part of efforts at ensuring a hitch-free Easter celebration.
“We have also deployed patrol vehicles with other security gadgets in and outside the state to ensure security of lives and property before, during and after the Easter.
“We urge residents to always be security conscious by reporting every strange people and their movement to the police for proper actions,” she said.
Odunlami, however, urged residents not to engage in criminal activity, saying that the law would always catch-up with criminals.
