Sen. Nicholas Tofowomo, representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has assured all aggrieved constituents and leaders of his party of benefitting from more projects and empowerment across the six Local Government Areas (LGA’s) in 2022.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the six LGA’s in the southern district includes Okitipupa, Ilaje, Odigbo, Irele, Ese-Odo and Ile Oluji/Oke-Igbo.

Tofowomo, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart also appealed to all aggrieved constituents and leaders to be patient with him, saying his presence would be felt in all fronts in the new year.

Tofowomo gave this assurance in his new year message to his constituents through his media aide, Mr Olumide Akinrinlola and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Okitipupa.

The senator who had begun some projects of solar-powered street lights, solar-powered boreholes, empowerment and employment opportunities in some communitues in 2021 said more communities, party leaders and members would be accommodated in the new year.

Tofowomo, attributed his involvement in a ghastly auto crash in 2020 has being responsible for some setback experienced in performing his lawful duties, saying he would do his best for his constituents to enjoy dividends of democracy.

“Compliment of the season to the good people of Ondo South, i thank everyone for the opportunity given to me in serving my people at the 9th Senate and I extend my appreciation to all the members and leaders of PDP too because I will be ungrateful if I do not acknowledge the love, support and cooperation.

“Even though I experienced some setbacks as a result of the accident that took me out of the Senate for sometime, I have devoted my time to the needs of my people and the need to get desired results to benefit my constituents at large.

“This is not the right time to give an account of my stewardship but the purpose is to beg my people to be patient with me especially some aggrieved leaders and members of our party and some aggrieved communities who have not benefited from any of my projects.”

“While I admit that I can not satisfy everyone and every community at a time, I will do my best to accommodate more communities across the six LGA’s in my 2022 project and I will reach out to more constituents through employment and empowerment.

“For those, I and my aides have wronged, I say sorry, I also pacify the aggrieved too, 2021 has come and gone. In 2022, I will make amends and correct a lot of mistakes.

“On the age-long darkness in Ondo South, my people will hear from me soon in a new dimension, so let’s keep hope alive and put our trust in God,” Tofowomo said.

The Senate Deputy Chairman on Land Transportation, however, sought for more prayers, support and cooperation from all constituents, party leaders and members for the new year to be rewarding. (NAN)
