A senior Pastor at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) , Glory of God , FUTA Akure , Dr Amos Arijesuyo who was allegedly shot on Saturday by suspected herdsmen has died of gunshot wounds.
The clergyman and his driver were attacked by suspected herdsmen on the Akure-Ilesha Road on Saturday around 5:00 p.m while retuning from Ibadan, Oyo State.
Pastor Arijesuyo who sustained bullet wounds from the attack had been receiving treatment in a hospital in Akure before passing away on Sunday night.
Some of the church members confirmed this to newsmen on Sunday.
Meanwhile the mood at church, was pensive when reporters visited the church on Sunday as members were seen lamenting the untimely death of the clergyman and the growing spate of insecurity in the country.
